Oh wow, it’s been a while since I wrote something here. I should probably start with a good line that will go down in history as “The Return!”
Call me Aldoshmael. No, no, that’s too moby-dickish.
It was the best of times, it was the not-so bad of times? …actually, my life if pretty good right now.
Okay how about:
Hello, and welcome to Moviephone!
Already taken? Really? When? …What? People used to call a phone number and a computer told you what times movies were playing in theaters? Okay I give up.
I guess I don’t really need an epic opening line, I just have to start typing.
A lot has changed since I last curved my fingers over the keyboard to type something for this blog, and I mean a lot!
Why did you neglect Million Dollar Ninja? you may ask; I could say that I was really busy at work for some time and then I got used to not writing anything and then blah, blah, blah. But those are only excuses, the truth of the matter is that I was just plain lazy and preferred doing something other than type, type, type (e.g. Netflix).
I didn’t, however, neglect the reason why I started this blog, which is to become financially independent someday.
In the next few posts, I will tell you all about where I am on Dave Ramsey’s 7 Baby Steps (spoiler alert: Step 6!), about the house we purchased (and how we destroyed it a few minutes after signing the closing documents), about having a baby (still haven’t destroyed him, but I did drop him on his face once), and about how I quit my job and move to the Bahamas (yoohoo!… it was for another job, but still yoohoo!). But for now, I just wanted to say hello and remove the rust off my typing fingers.
I am excited to share my experiences in the last two years and to see what changes/improvements you have made over the last two years. Yes, it has been two years! And I must say these have been the craziest, most exciting two years of my life. Like I said, a lot of things have changed.
Stay tuned for Million Dollar Ninja 2.0 and warm greetings from the Bahamas!
